PSALMS: A Study

Did you know that the New Testament quotes the Psalms more than any other Old Testament book? The Psalter is also one of the longest books in the Bible, and is certainly worth a lifetime of study.

Starting September 17th, the Cathedral offers a seven-week study of the Psalms in preparation for the Bible Symposium with scholar, priest, and musician Malcolm Guite on November 4th. This is also a chance to study the Psalms in community.

Participants have a choice of two times: Sunday mornings following the 10AM Mass, and Tuesday evenings at 7:30PM on Zoom. Please fill out the form below to receive the Zoom link for the Tuesday evening session. You only have to sign up once to receive the link for all seven weeks. Note: There will be no study on Sunday, October 8, Tuesday, October 10, & Sunday, November 5. The final sessions will occur on Tuesday, November 7 and Sunday, November 12, as a recapitulation after the Bible Symposium on Psalms with Malcolm Guite on November 4.

Jon Kimmel, the Cathedral of All Saints Director of Christian Formation, will lead the study.
Jon has ministered as a volunteer, church planter, and full-time pastoral worker in New England, Thailand, and Hong Kong, and it was in Hong Kong that Jon was introduced to and embraced the Anglican/Episcopal tradition. Jon enjoys studying and has a Bachelor's in Business Administration, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, a Diploma in Anglican Studies, and is completing a Master of Sacred Theology. In his free time, Jon enjoys traveling, exercising, watching movies, and playing board games, especially with his wife and son.
